Em estabelecimentos públicos ou privados, em unidades de saúde, estabelecimentos de ensino, ambientes corporativos ou de assistência, quem opta pela profissão de assistente social abraça mais que um ofício: torna-se defensor de uma verdadeira causa. Neste dia 15 de maio, em que é celebrado no Brasil o Dia do Assistente Social, a Associação Educadora São Carlos (AESC) reconhece o valor de quem, por meio do seu trabalho, consegue transformar histórias de vida a partir da empatia e do diálogo. 345c33
A temática adotada pelo Conselho Federal de Serviço Social para 2020 apresenta a chamada “Trabalhamos em vários espaços, sempre com a população. Serviço Social: conheça e valorize essa profissão”. Nessa linha, trazemos uma profissional que atua em um dos mais novos estabelecimentos mantidos pela AESC dedicado à saúde no segmento público: o Hospital Santa Ana (HSA), em Porto Alegre. Grasiela Dornelles do Nascimento, 37 anos, iniciou sua jornada na instituição em setembro de 2018, um mês após a inauguração.
Nesses quase dois anos, somam-se aprendizados diários e a satisfação com o ambiente de trabalho. “Para mim, é gratificante ser uma das primeiras assistentes sociais do HSA e fazer parte da história de uma Instituição que está sendo tão elogiada pelos pacientes e sociedade. Sinto-me feliz em trabalhar nesta empresa séria e comprometida com a recuperação e bem-estar do seu paciente”, afirma.
No Hospital, ela consegue exercer o que acredita ser o significado do Serviço Social. “O assistente social trabalha com as políticas públicas e relações sociais. Dedica-se no o à garantia dos direitos do usuário, e precisa estar sempre integrado com uma equipe multiprofissional. É escutar o usuário e saber se colocar no lugar do outro”, ressalta a profissional, formada em 2011 pela Ulbra.
Na visão de Grasiela, o Serviço Social tem como papel o atendimento a usuários fragilizados, discriminados e em situação vulnerável. “Através do nosso acolhimento, tentando a universalização dos seus direitos, oportunizando e auxiliando na construção de novas histórias de vida e novos caminhos, acabamos transformando suas vidas”, define.
Assim como Grasiela, a AESC conta com assistentes sociais em todos os seus segmentos de atuação. Thais Steigleder, no Hospital Mãe de Deus; Ada Vanassi, no Colégio São Carlos – Caxias do Sul; Kaciely Jacino, no Centro de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS) AD III Noroeste, Humaitá, Navegantes e Ilhas; e Vanessa Moojen, no Centro de Atendimento ao Migrante (CAM) estão entre esses profissionais que vivenciam, diariamente, essa grande causa que é acolher e compreender o ser humano.
